Explosive recombination method

The key points of explosive bonding method: First, keep a certain distance between the two metal plates to be pressed, and then place an appropriate amount of explosives on top of them. Initiated by one end of the explosive, the explosion speed is several kilometers per second, and with this explosive energy, the titanium plate collides from the angle of the substrate steel plate. At this collision point, the substrate steel plate and titanium plate exhibit fluid behavior due to their high deformation speed and ultra-high pressure. The oxide film and gas adsorption layer on the two metal surfaces are eliminated as metal jets, and the joint between clean surfaces is completed in an instant, known as cold joint.

The titanium steel composite plate manufactured by this method can continue to be hot rolled to a thickness of 4mm, so it is also known as the explosive composite method.

Thick plate rolling method

The thick plate rolling method assembles titanium plate (composite material) and steel plate (substrate) into embedded slabs. At this point, a suitable intermediate embedding material is placed between the titanium plate and the steel, and then electron beam welding is used under high vacuum. After being heated in the heating furnace, the titanium plate and steel plate are pressed and rolled to the required thickness on the thick plate rolling mill, so that they truly connect. Cut the periphery and separate it into 2 plates.

Continuous hot rolling method

The continuous hot rolling method is basically the same as the thick plate rolling method, but the difference is that the steel plate is added between the two plates, which are arc welded in the atmosphere, continuously rolled on the continuous hot rolling mill to the required thickness, and taken out in the form of coils. Cut the periphery and separate it into 2 plates.
